Please try copying the pic to your hard drive (name it the way you want), entering it as your avatar (edit profile) on DU & see if the board will resize it automatically.

...the "options" icon

On the dropdown menu, click "edit profile"

In the "avatar" option, post the file name of the pic from your computer

Save your updated profile on DU.

Note -- If the board resizes your pic, it may be too small an avatar to be recognizable; if so -- you can always use the full sized pic in your signature line as a link (create an account at a place like http://photobucket.com where you can save you pics on the net).

I right-clicked on the picture,
clicked on properties,
hi-lighted the http information,
clicked copy
pasted it into the sig line portion of my profile.

You might want to center it though. ( ---> < then type center ><--- character )
