Stockton Police Arm Citizens to Fight Prostitution

It's a problem every night along Stockton's Wilson Way.

"The girls are always out looking for 'johns'. It's always very busy on the weekends, it's terrible," said resident Dahlia Daniels.

Prostitution sweeps by police have offered only a temporary fix to the problem. Now, cops are providing citizen reporting forms to the public, allowing neighbors to write down the make, model and license plate numbers of cars they suspect are picking up hookers.

The names and phone numbers of citizens who file the reports will be kept confidential.
