Ever get grossly embarrassed that someone is from the same area as you?
I occassionally post at a forum for people living in Southern Maryland, where I was born and raised. I can't help but notice one of the posters on the board and his continuous outrageous statements, which I don't believe are satire but are in fact made in all sincerity.

For example, his signature line reads:
________________________________________________________________
Nuke em, then they'll learn. (Icon of an American flag beside it)

If you have issues with being wire tapped or snooped on by the Gubermint of the USA then you should be wire tapped and snooped on by the Gubermint of the USA!! What are you hiding??
________________________________________________________________

Under his post name, he puts "Behead your muslim today"

On a recent post, he commented: "The only 'good' muslim is a dead muslim." And what was the subject of the original post? Recipies for Southern Maryland Baked Ham, of course.

The sad thing is, he always seems to make these comments in casual conversation, and none of the other posters seem to care about the dude's outrageous statements.

Now, I'm proud of the fact that I grew up in Southern Maryland. I think that most people there are decent, good people. But I shiver to think that this guy lives and breathes among them.

3. Every single day
I'm from Connecticut. I have to deal with Joe Lieberman and George W. Bush being from there on a daily basis.

14. I'm from LA (Lower Alabama)
Here in the Red Neck Riviera, (Florida Panhandle) I regularly get greeted by folks that recognize me.

"Howdy partner, we be NEIGHBORS!"

A this point I pull out my cell phone and act like I just got a call. I walk out like I need to talk, and then I don't come back.

10. Dog "Disgusting Racist Pig" Chapman
Get a load of this:

http://starbulletin.com/2007/11/07/news/story04.html

"This Dog can learn," he said after claiming that his use of the pejorative phrase was more in the spirit in which blacks use it among themselves -- a stance he said he has now abandoned.

The apology comes a few days after Chapman released a written apology to the public after he used the N-word multiple times in a phone conversation with his son, Tucker, referring to Tucker's girlfriend, Monique Shinnery. Chapman's son sold the tape to the National Enquirer, which released it a week ago....

Chapman added: "I thought I was cool enough in the black world to be able to use that word as a brother to a brother. I'm not."

12. Many years ago
When I was in college (a large university with 40,000+ students,) a fellow student from my small high school who was a dorky nerd (long before such terms existed) seemed to have talked to everyone on campus and told them he was from my home town.

So whenever I became acquainted with someone new and they asked where I was from, when I responded they always answered, "Oh, do you know 'dorky nerdy guy?'"
