I try to carry as many of my tools in my front pants pockets as possible. When they ask I say "go ahead and get it". For the most part they have started to carry their own tools with them now!

1. Do you put the chainsaw
handle side or blade side down? Borrowing and loaning tools is an interesting dynamic. My neighbor to the east and I keep lawn tools (hoe, rake, wheelbarrow and some other stuff) right on the line of each of our one acre lots. (Its a relatively wooded area.) We use what we need, clean it, and then put it back where we found it so each can use. We put our stuff in respective garages during inclement weather. The system has worked out great for years with little or no communication involved. The neighbor to the west is another story.
