RIP Eva. Thank you for the beauty that you gave to us in your all too brief time on this planet.

The falling leaves drift by my window
The falling leaves of red and gold
I see your lips, the summer kisses
The sunburned hands I used to hold

Since you went away the days grow long
And soon I'll hear old winter's song
But I miss you most of all, my darling
When autumn leaves start to fall

Since you went away the days grow long
And soon I'll hear old winter's song
But I miss you most of all, my darling
When autumn leaves start to fall

I miss you most of all, my darling
When autumn leaves start to fall

1. Thinking about her today also
I lived in the D.C. area for 17 years and was blest to have known about her before she died. She lived 20 minutes from where I did. She was a gift. Every song she sang became her own.

Here is my favorite Eva song...RIP.

2. I just learned of her this year.

Now I've downloaded every vid of hers that I can get my hands on. Every song she sings just takes my breath away.

Thanks for reminding me of how much I love her work, and her sweetness.

Gone too soon, too soon.
