Just got home from Annie Lennox in concert
She was fucking amazing. I can't believe such a huge voice comes from such a small person.

She is also very much a humanitarian. The song "Sing" on her new album is raising awareness of HIV testing for women in Africa and a medication that can prevent the child from getting HIV. There are 23 female artists on the song, including Sarah McLachlan, Madonna, Melissa Ethridge and many others.

2. It was pretty good.
We had to drive a ways in crappy conditions to Miami to go, but it was worth it.

:hi:

4. Did she lie to you? I've always wondered about the answer to her question:
"Would I lie to you?" :)

I've like her since the Eurythmics were big in the early 80s.

8. She sang a few Eurythmics songs, but not that one.
"Sweet Dreams" was the first song that made it big for them. The video for that was great.

She sang that, "There Must be an Angel", and a few more.

5. I saw her here in Chicago a couple of weeks ago.
She had the audience eating out of her hand. She was fucking AMAZING. I was surprised...she did maybe 2 songs from her newest cd...the rest was her previous solo stuff and stuff she did with Eurthymics.

9. Hard to believe she is 52.
She still has a hell of a lot of energy.

I love the new CD, as I have all her music. "Smithereens" is a great track.

11. That's why I had to go.
I really wanted to go to the Genesis reunion, as well, but tickets were crazy high, and they had no shows in Florida.
