What. The. Bloody. Hell.
Embalmed heads found in I-30 truck

04:37 PM CDT on Tuesday, October 30, 2007

By KATIE MENZER / The Dallas Morning News
kmenzer@dallasnews.com

On the face of it, the truck full of human heads could have been a Halloween prank or the makings of a scary movie.

It turned out to be neither, and a reminder that you should keep your wits about you when you donate your body to science.

"This is in the top five of the strangest things – maybe the strangest – that I've ever encountered," Hunt County Justice of the Peace Aaron Williams said Monday.

Judge Williams was called to the scene when a regular traffic stop Sunday morning by Royse City police turned into a grisly discovery of severed heads in the back of a tractor-trailer.

1. My dear Prisoner_Number_Six...
What an interesting story!

Yes, grisly, but at least no crimes were being committed...

I do think that specifying that this sort of thing NOT be done to your remains would be prudent...

A most illuminating post!

Thank you, sweetie...

3. An excellent idea!
I've been thinking of that as well...

But on the other hand, the medical schools do need cadavers...

Or maybe someone might need one or more of my organs...

I don't know...

6. I can't donate my organs
and I don't want some bloodless med student fondling my mortal remains. Another more personal reason is, there's just one burial space remaining in our family plot, and both me and my sister want to use it. So we've agreed to share it- she will be buried and I will be cremated and buried with her.

It all works out in the end.
