Will this kill me?

Or is it safe. I usually work out when I'm sick, and it does make me heal quicker and feel better.

But swimming is a different workout. You go through cold shock a few times (in the pool and then out of the pool)

Am I going to get pneumonia?

2. Please don't go
Please think of the others in the pool. When I used to swim regularly, I used to pick up all these infections, in my ear, eyes, upper respiratory. When I stopped swimming, I stopped getting so many of these minor infections. I think I got them because people with infections swam and spread their germs via the water. It's really inconsiderate of you to go to a pool and infect the water that others will share.

4. Trust me, swimming in this pool is like swimming in clorox
You can smell the chlorine miles away

3. Sure, if you feel like it.
Don't over do it and get exhausted but light exercise will probably make you feel good.

and for the above poster - um chlorine should take care of any transmission problems. Hand washing with soap will prevent a lot more than avoiding a pool.
