Can another Pats Super Bowl win assuage the Red Sox Curse?
Could a second Patriots Lombardi Trophy in 3 years help to erase memories of:

- Bill Buckner
- Bucky Dent
- Bill "Spaceman" Lee's eephus pitch to Tony Perez
- Tom Yawkey
- Grady Little (Forest Gump)/Pedro Martinez
- Babe Ruth/"No No Nanette"

?????????

Or, is every horrid detail of the Red Sox "Curse" indelibly etched in the hearts, minds, and souls of Red Sox sufferrers, even if the Patriots win 10 consecutive Super Bowls?

2. So there's no possible football-baseball crossover effect?
Another New England team's triumphs cannot help ease the trauma of endless Red Sox batterings, sort of like an anti-psychotic drug?

3. No--think of the Celtics in the 80's and earlier....
...when another professional sports team in Beantown does well, the Red Sox are sure NOT to follow!!!!!!!!!!!!

4. No Way!!
Only a Red Sox World Series win can erase all that pain and suffering. The Pats could win 20 SB's and the monkey would still remain on the Sox's back.

6. What's a super bowl???
Seriously, nahh, there's no crossover at all.

One has absolutely nothing to do with the other. In the world according to MaineDem anyway.

Three weeks or so 'til pitchers and catchers report. :D

7. Temporary at best
Sort of like putting a band aid on a sucking chest wound.

8. LOL - "a sucking chest wound" indeed!
As a Boston native, I lived through most of those nightmares, and still consider the injury terminal.

9. First, the Panthers are going to win tomorrow
And second, even if disaster struck (Rod "He Hate Me" Smart running six touchbacks or something) and the Patriots won anyway, it wouldn't matter. The Curse will remain alive and well.

11. I'm in Denver, Will, so
please give those Pats some extra close-up vibes for me. "Back in the day" I used to attend early Patriot AFC games with Babe Parilli, Gino Cappaletti, Nick B., et al. That's about a 40-year cross I carry, but then I also went to Fenway for Ted Williams, Jackie Jenson, Jimmy Piersall...to the Gahhden for Bill Russell, Bob Cousy, Sam & KC Jones.
Thank God for the Pats & Celtics.
