Does the CBS logo creep you out?

It used to be rather benign looking, but now, every time I see it, I think of DARPA and TIPS and unknown evil political entities looking at me. Now, of course, it also stands for discrimination/bias.

Is it mocking me? Saying "I'll tell you what you should and should not see?" I know, a bit overblown, but my subconscious sometimes resides very near the surface of cognitive thought, and that is what it is telling me.

9. NO, this is a great logo, and let me tell you why...

I'm old enough to remember when CBS was the flagship in integrity in televised journalism. When Walter Cronkite (unabashed liberal, by the way) said, "That's the way it is", you KNEW that's the way it was. CBS had a long history of exposing wrongdoing and general shitheadedness by the powers-that-be, going all the way back to Edward R. Murrow and his exposure of Joe McCarthy, as well as Murrow's hard-hitting, and very liberal, "Harvest of Shame" telecast.

CBS is the one major broadcast television network that has a history of accountability to the masses, as well as keeping a serious "eye" on the bastards in power. I don't mind the CBS logo (an eye), because that's exactly what television news should be. It should, indeed, tell it "the way it is". It should expose the fraud and crime of those in power.
