I don't know anyone who doesn't like the song "Laid" by James. It's just plain fun and dirty.

I also have a hypothesis that all women under the age of 35 like Cyndi Lauper "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" and Def Leppard "Pour Some Sugar on Me."

I have never met a person who dislikes the song. It is arguably the first popular heavy popular heavy metal tune and while people may be tired of it, they still like the tune.

Ok Mr. Purity, start naming some Blues tunes by original artists. Do not tell me that Walter Trout, Eric Sardinas, Anthony Gomes, and others like them are Blues Men. They are talented, but not "traditional" Blues Men. None of the above are poor or black. Ridiculous statement? Yes it is. That is what I think of so called music snobbery. People like what they like and should not be looked down on because of it. And maybe the songs mentioned in this thread are overplayed because PEOPLE ACTUALLY LIKE THEM! Just something to think about Mr. snob. I also love the tune Freebird and make no aplogies for it. Black Oak Arkansas was one of my faves and again, I make no apologies for it. If you want to discuss music, then let's do it.

i don't even like the blues...and i was being a smart ass, not serious...

i was just pointing out that most of the songs listed actually suck, pretty badly, in a thread for songs that 'everyone likes.'

and free bird is fucking awesome, i love skynyrd, and the killers is one of my favorite bands. hank III is also probably one of the most bad ass musicians ever (along with his granddaddy), and green day's first record is among my favorite.
