This was a thread about a spotter (airplane photographer) that was told by police that he could not take photos at Reagan National....

"Just to make a quick point to the person who suggested moving to europe. I read in the newspaper that 5 people who were taking photos in Kalamata, Greece were put in jail, equipment confiscated etc. They were tourists.

Second, the USA Patriot act should be continued and any attempt from the liberals to undermine it should be vetoed immediately.

However, there should be a clear statement allowing for the photography of airplanes. I mean, come on, does a terrorist really need to take some shots of an aircraft to find out its specifications, etc? How about just looking on the internet.

It is a remarkable opportunity for airport police to "flex their authority". since its so boring, these people feel pretty much useless, so don't feel bad... "

Those were the words of a well programmed ditto-head if I've ever heard one!

1. Same thing comes up at railfan sites
Lots of nice middle-aged men who have spent their lives taking pictures of trains are discovering the joys of rent-a-cops who think the Patriot Act is just dandy.

2. I haven't been run off from my local airport yet...I'll argue...
And probably win myself an arrest record.

4. Well, if you browse regularly that site...
... you should be aware of how close the rhetoric of the "Airbus bashing crowd" (and they are at least a dozen)
is to that used at the freeperville (their ignorance stands out alike)...

I think it is no coincidence.
