10. Bill Shatner will play Kirk again.
They'll use CGI to make him 40 yrs younger.

3. Simon!
I don't care what anyone else says: I think Simon Pegg as Scotty is an excellent choice!

14. It's just not the same without Nick Frost.
I like Simon, but the real magic is the two of them together. In my humble opinion, anyway.

12. I like the new Scotty.
But no one can replace Leonard Nimoy. Even his name sounds Vulcan.

15. Luckily for us it's reported that Leonard Nimoy is also in the movie.
According to IMDB, he'll be playing Spock. However they work this out, it should be very, VERY interesting.

17. Yup. As long as J.J. Abrams doesn't screw it all up, I'll be a big fan of this movie.
Some of the casing choices so far are great.

18. I love the old Star Trek characters.
If they include some of them, I'll definetly go see it.

13. It's like Star Trek crossed with the Flintstone Babies
But if it's a show about the beginning of Star Trek, how come they got Chekhov, who didn't join the crew until the second season?

Also, wasn't Spock supposed to be older than Kirk?
