New Yorkers! Events or favorite things to do this weekend?

Was coming up on Sunday for work anyway, and saw a "buy 2, get an extra night free" and was able to get a free Saturday at my same hotel!!

Any festivals or special events you recommend from personal experience? I've checked the tourism websites, but they're sort of overwhelming. We're staying in the Midtown West area, but will have a car or could catch a cab, so anywhere in Manhattan (or maybe Brooklyn, since one of S.O.'s friends is up there).

Last time I was up I walked from Lex in the 40's all the way to Central Park West to the NY Historical Society for a Hudson Valley School exhibit, and also was treated to a cool gospel choir while there, and it was wonderful. Depending on the weather, we want to walk around Central Park at some point, since in all the years we've been visiting, we've only driven through it.

Actually, if going to Central Park...go see Strawberry Fields (Today is Lennon's Birthday) and take a ride on the carousel (it's really old and cool)
