How come nobody cares about being in the 700 club anymore?

I remember when it used to be a fun thing to help people get out of the 700 posts range and we had some fun threads about nothing. Not that we don't have threads about nothing anymore, but where's the good-natured ribbing? Where's the vicious hazing? I mean good laughs? I miss those days...

5. post counts aren't as regarded anymore, in my opinion

the community is just much bigger than it was 4 years ago. besides, one of the best decisions the admins ever made was to limit the number to 1000 on the screen display
