New Hampshire republicans fed up with * . Here's the scoop.
<snip>

Under New Hampshire law, only Democrats and independents were permitted to participate in Tuesday's Democratic presidential primary. That meant that Republicans who wanted to register their opposition to Bush had to do so in their own party's primary. A remarkable number of them did just that.

<'nother snip>

US Senator John Kerry, D-Massachusetts, who won the Democratic primary, came in second to Bush in the Republican contest, winning 3,009 votes. Kerry's name was written in on almost 5 percent of all GOP ballots. Who were these Republican renegades for Kerry? People like 61-year-old retired teacher David Anderson. A Vietnam veteran, Anderson told New Hampshire's Concord Monitor that he wrote in Kerry's name because the senator, also a veteran, understands the folly of carrying on a failed war. "I feel a commander, the president of the United States, ought to be a veteran," explained Anderson, who says his top priority is getting US troops out of Iraq.

My sig-pic was done by a Canadian violist friend of mine. She was bored, and drew/animated a couple for me last year. It's a striking resemblence, if I do say so myself. :D (EDIT: you can tell it was done by a Canadian due to the flapping head.)

On topic: Let's hope that this trend carries over to a few swing-states like Florida and Ohio. The writing is on the wall for these damn crooks. Hopefully, the "October Surprise" this year will fall flat.

I disagree with the commander-in-chief must be military thing, though.

4. I looked at those polls a few days ago and thought they were interesting
I do not think our Presidents have to have been in the service either.I sure would not call a man who passes through the service for a few years a man of the military but he may under stand it better. Even George Washington aim was to be an officer in the British Army but I still think the citizen army is the best way to go and no Generals running things. They are top down people and I like to think, if we can get all to vote, we have bottom up govt/

5. Still....
You don't think that a president needs to have served, and neither do I. You'd be surprised at the number of voting vets that will swing one way or another based on actual "combat time". Every little bit helps, eh?

I'm going to stay hopeful at this point. It's all I have to inspire me to wake up in the morning. Not only do we have a chance; we have a damn good chance in November.

(on that note, it's time to leave for the gig. See you all later)
