1. I love JP Patches
We were at a local bar a few years back and an older guy walked in the door. The minute he opened his mouth to speak, I cried out, "GERTRUDE!" Yup, JP's girlfriend was visiting the Nickerson Street Saloon. It was one of the bigger thrills I've ever had.

I was born in 1960 in Seattle. I was a "Patches Pal". I made my first TV appearance on his show. I'm also one of the few people who actually saw the "Last one out of Seattle, please turn out the lights" billboard in person.

2. I lived in Tacoma for quite awhile when I was younger (moved to Oregon
after that, then back to Seattle).

Of course I remember JP Patches!

And Gertrude!!

4. And Boris S. Wart, The Second Meanest Man In The World
I have a Boris S Wart T-shirt that I wear all the time.

Did JP ever read your name in the ICU2 TV set on your birthday?

A couple years ago my brother met JP at a store opening or something. He got me an autographed picture that said something like, "Stay in New York --JP"

3. I love JP Patches.
I was sad, though, when he didn't mention my 4th birthday, even though my mom sent my name in to the show. I'm sure it was because my birthday is right after Christmas and those shows were taped in advance. :D

5. Remember the machine that checked letters to Santa?
He would put the letter in and the machine would see if you were a Patches Pal or a Boris Buddy.
