I'm --at last count -- the second highest posters here. In my whole time here I (think) I've NEVER had an admin warning.

Is it so hard for you all?

Well, I did get one pre-Jan 1st. But that's b/c I used a word that I didn't know I wasn't supposed to use. (It was nick-name for Clark supporters.)

Keep in mind that I post a lot in in the I/P forum, so I have many opportunites to recieve a warning.

At least in the virtual world. I don't have the mega-postings that you have khephra or GOPisEvil, but I think it is important for discourse to be civil. I love peace, here at DU, at home and in the world. If you really have to vent, maybe you shouldn't do it on-line to your fellow DU members. Take a deep breath, say it out loud a few times and just think about your humanity. People deserve respect first even if they try to antagonize you, you always have the choice to walk away.

Be the better person by not adding more anger, stress and hate in our forums and in the world. Think globally act here right on DU. You can have logical disagreements and arguments without getting ugly and personal. Just do it.

and it always shocks the whiskers off of me because political debates are never a dainty little tea-party. So, even when Democratic candidates make mistakes, and reasonable Democrats point-out those mistakes -- sometimes colorfully -- it's unsettling to have the censors run in and cut-out your comment because they think that someone, somewhere, might be offended. Normally, when liberals gather, a diversity of opinion is encouraged. Oh well, I don't make the rules and I don't run the website, but I take a certain pride in being a marked man....shows I think for myself and I'm not afraid to colorfully express my opinion.

But only for duplicates. If I go to GD 2004, I do not attack, just make comments. I do not want to get involved in real deep discussions or attacks. It also helps that I have not made up my mind re a candidate.
