Dunkin Donuts coffee is nauseating
someone brought in a bag of Dunkin Donuts ground coffee (don't even get me started on the abomination that is pre-ground coffee), and it's vile.

I'd say no flames, please, but who could possibly disagree with this?

3. dammit
this thread got me thinking. did I actually 'like' that large coffee I had? should I spend the extra time to go to the SBucks down the road? maybe *gasp* walk there and back before leaving for work?

hmmm

and another thing, we need more smilies

2. It's definitely a weakened coffee compared to Starbucks
which is probably why as a default they put about 5 spoons of sugar in it.

6. I know you said no flames, but get your flameproof suit on my friend!!!!
I moved to CA from NJ about 1.5 years ago and though I love my new home one of the few things I miss from my prior life is Dunkin Donuts...specifically for their coffee.

Now, I know you just got ground coffee so I'll give you a pass this time. If you get a chance pick some up at the store itself.

If you still don't like it after that I shall commence my flaming.

20. I agree with you on that one. Starbucks coffee sucks!
I haven't had a cup of Dunkin' Donuts coffee in a long time, but it has to be better than that shit Starbucks passes off as coffee.

13. DD's used to have decent coffee and sold decent beans.
There was a corporate shift a few years ago that dumbed down many of the features that had made the chain stand out, like baking donuts on site, brewing coffee in carafes and dumping unsold coffee after 15-30 minutes back in the days when most places made a 40 cup urn and served it until it was gone.

The last time I had DDs the quality had diminished considerably. It's still better than a lot of swill served retail but their beans are old and tired.

15. You don't know nauseating...
Until you try the coffee at the New Hampshire State House. The coffee in the cafeteria is allright, but the swill that they have in the governor's office, the Speaker's office and the committee rooms is ghastly.

16. Never bought DD beans, the coffee to go is better than my Mother-in-Law's though
My wife bought a home roaster for me a couple Christmases ago, and I like that....also, I'm lucky enough to have two local roasters nearby, Mayorga and Quartermaine....

Quartermaine's Fact of the Day:

Q: True or False: coffee is the number one source of antioxidants in the American diet?

A: True. Moreover, the antioxidants in coffee retard aging and help prevent cirrhosis and certain types of cancer.

19. Within a quarter mile of my office is 4 coffee shops
DD, It's a grind, Starbucks, and a smaller DD kiosk. Every day about 1ish the office sends someone (usually me) out to get coffees for all. I personally only do DD. I think it is the cocaine they mix with the grind.

I have a Dunkin Donuts half a mile from me, and across the street from it is a Starbucks. I get the best of both worlds- great donuts AND great coffee!
