I don't think I've seen a post in 3 weeks or so...

5. I'm Here!
Sorry folks. A week of foreign travel, then a flare up of my MS, caused by an immuno response to the onset of bronchitis.

I was hobbling on a cane for 5 days, then coughing up a lung for about 5 days. When i started feeling better, i had meetings at corporate headquarters and took a vacation day.

Finally feeling almost normal again.

Thanks for asking.
The Professor

6. I was fearful it might be the MS.
Sioux said hers was acting up, too. :-(

Glad you're better.

7. Feeling Good Enough. . .
. . .to go to the dome and hit balls tonight. My wife is going out with a friend to dinner for her birthday. (Not my wife's. My syntax is bit tortured there.)

So, i'm solo tonight. Since i haven't been able to hit balls at the dome in almost a month, i'm going tonight. The last several times i went, i was anhiliating the ball. The last time i hit the 8 foot wide hanging target (at 80 yards) 9 times in a row and 12 of 15 with a 5 iron. Then, hit the 10 foot wide circle at 75 yards with a half-wedge 8 of 10. Decided that i should go home at that point!

Hopefully the time away and the illness hasn't made the feel go away. Fingers crossed.
The Professor

8. I played really poorly last time out myself.
But, I recovered to defeat my golf buddies and take their 5 bucks a man!

17th hole, I hit a BEAUT! 150, uphill, into the breeze, 6-iron to 12 feet. Lipped out the birdie though.

I finished bogey-par-par (4, 4, 4). My former boss finished (3, 8, 9). I won by a stroke. :D

9. Always good to hear from you, Professor.
I hope you are warm and cozy near Chicago.
We've got cabin-fever up here in Green Bay. We are being freeze-dried this cold cold winter which gets into the joints by our age, hey?

10. Really Cold Here The Last Few Days, Too!
I blame Canada. (Everybody sing the South Park song in your head!) If that was a sea up there, instead of a desolate land mass, it would be so cold in the Midwest. (Ask the northern British, where i just was. Middle of January, more north than Maine, and in the high 20's lower 30's.)

I figure if we just nuked northern Manitoba twice per year, we could play golf year round. (I'm kidding, i'm kidding!)

Just really tired of these winters!

Canadian nuisance geese, these damn Alberta Clippers, and I don't even get to enjoy Canadian bacon since I stopped eating meat!
It's a good thing they're such nice, civilized people up there...

Welcome back, but as I tell my next-door neighbor: If you're going to be away, let us know!

(And thx XNASA...)
