I've just discovered some great pre-prepared food
in the supermarket. I don't know about you but I love chicken but hate the stuff that is frozen. Same with meat. They both taste like rubber to me. Hormel has come out with some entres that are not frozen. They are in the cooler section near the meat. I just tried the sweet and sour chicken and it was great...very tasty and tender. Also the meatloaf. They also sell some other stuff that I haven't tried. Great for us non-cooks! :-)

1. Are these products new?
I hate frozen food, too.

6. Pretty new, I think. Look below for another comment on them.
I'm for anything that doesn't taste like cardboard or rubber bands!

7. I have been getting them for at least a year.

The tray is black and cardboard sleeve is mostly red and white. You can microwave, boil in bag, or just open up and heat in sauce pan, which is what I usually do. ( except the meat loaf, of course )

4. Thanks for the heads up Raven
Cooking for one sucks and I'm always looking for stuff that's already done for me. :-)

5. I know exactly what you are talking about.
Beef tips are great too. I add 1/2 lb of fresh mushroom and the tips are great on noodles. The meat loaf is very good. The only one I was disappointed in was the BBQ pork. Don't forget to look inside the cardboard sleeve for a coupon. When you are cooking for 1 or 2 they are great.

8. yes
Definitly some improvement there - even on the other side of the pond.
I'm, especially fond of these microwave containers introduced last year (still hard to find, but worth it):
