What is the point of Maryland?
It's one of the stupidest states. Like, why?

Can't they just get rid of Maryland and give California two more senators?

1. We do have two Democratic Senators!
Why not just get rid of the tolls in Delaware.

18. Where the fuck are you driving?
We have one toll at the DE-MD border for $3 (which is easy to get around) and we have one at the Del Memorial Bridge which if you want, can keep on driving up through PA and take one of THEIR toll bridges.

MD is so smart they not only put a $5 toll in the middle of 95 but they even put a $5 on the back road you could use to get around that toll

24. Hop over to Rt1 and follow it
up to Rt.273. No toll at all there and a beautiful drive. Then you can miss both the MD and DE toll to go to DE.

6. Ummm....
Maryland has had one Republican Governor since the 1960s and hasn't had a Republican Senator since the retirement of Senator Charles Mathias in the 1986 mid-term elections

California has had four Republican Governors since the 1960s including the current one. One of the former Governors went on to become a terrible President, another Governor from the last decade was re-elected after promoting a racist and xenophobic anti-immigration platform while the current Governor is in power because the voters of the state elected to recall a Democratic Governor. Meanwhile in California there was a Republican Senator in office as recently as 1992

I love California -it's a beautiful state with wonderful people in it. But politically Maryland is a much better option

12. If there was a worse campaign somewhere, tell me.
That election was Townsend's to lose, and she did. I volunteered on that campaign, and I knew we were done after Ehrlich chose a Black running mate and Townsend chose an old White guy who was a republican a month before. I don't think you will see a campaign that bad again.

27. Delaware Crabcakes are just made from crabs caught in Delaware
The Bob is the name of the Bob Carpenter Stadium - home of the Delaware Blue Hens football team, Division I-AA. Our team is now 4-0 and ranked 11th in NCAA 1-AA division. I have a feeling our team could probably beat University of Michigan.

30. We need Maryland
Somebody's got to absorb DC when we get around to re-incorporating them into the U.S. of A. Without Maryland, they might have to join Delaware or something (wherever "Delaware" is)

:hi:

among other things including being one of the biggest homes of biotechnology and IT technology in the country.
What Maryland doesn't have but California does have- earthquakes, wildfires brushfires, mudslides.
Come on. Outside of the occasional tornadoes and flooding, we don't have many natural disasters (ahem) and btw, my county in Maryland (Montgomery) is as rich as Orange county California with NO REPUBLICANS HOLDING OFFICE. Top that CA! BTW, we don't elect movie stars as politicians either! We got rid of our idiot Repuke governor!
..Chesapeake Bay- is the largest natural estuary in the world. I think folks would miss MD crab cakes/blue crabs, oysters, rockfish et al...I have lived happily in this state for 30+ years...
