7. Please do not rub it in
Drafting has not been the Vikings strong suit.

8. Wasn't he picked before their turn?
Or did they trade down?

11. Hmm, help me out here. Aren't the Vikings in Minnesota these days?
Minnesota picked 17th, Matt Leinart went 10th, and Cutler went 11th. Unless Minnesota traded down, I don't see what you're saying. Anyway, I don't think much of Cutler or Leinart, so far. They have Rex Grossman written all over them--just enough skill to make you wish they could do more, but not enough to scare an opponent.

1 Houston Mario Williams - DE
2 New Orleans Reggie Bush - RB
3 Tennessee Vince Young - QB
4 New York D'Brickashaw Ferguson - OT
5 Green Bay AJ Hawk - OLB
6 San Francisco Vernon Davis - TE
7 Oakland Michael Huff - CB
8 Buffalo Donte Whitner - S
9 Detroit Ernie Sims - OLB
10 Arizona Matt Leinart - QB
11 Denver Jay Cutler - QB
12 Baltimore Haloti Ngata - DT
13 Cleveland Kamerion Wimbley - DE
14 Philadelphia Brodrick Bunkley - DT
15 St. Louis Tye Hill - CB
16 Miami Jason Allen - S
17 Minnesota Chad Greenway - OLB
18 Dallas Bobby Carpenter - OLB

12. They were scheduled to draft 9th, IIRC - they traded down.

13. I don't think so.
I just did a Google, and I find no reference to them trading down. There were several comments that they were hoping one of the QBs would fall to them at 17.

Now in this last draft they skipped Brady Quinn for Adrian Peterson.
