Superfly has passed away...
Ron O'Neal, the person who played Superfly in the movie of the same name, passed away 2 weeks ago. I heard this story on the way to BUE, and just wanted to pass it along. May he rest in peace

And here I felt bad that 'Superfly - The DU gun "afficiando"' had passed away, ... after I had argued against his 'unDemocratic-party-like' message that coddles guns like toddlers coddle baby bottles ....

Didnt want Superfly to just pass away without 'getting right' ...

Seems I dont have to worry about that now ....

3. Yep. There was a swell piece...
...about it by David Walker in WILLAMETTE WEEK last week. Walker had interviewed and become friendly with O'Neil while doing a film about 'Blaxploitation' cinema. O'Neil was a very accomplished and talented actor who, unfortunately, was typecast after SUPERFLY. I thought he was way cool in Milius's RED DAWN.
