F*ck all y'all... I'm from Texas!
This is the slogan on a t-shirt I saw in a store in Austin a few months ago.

It certainly seems to be Shrub's attitude in international affairs.

3. Can I ask you something? What happens if one were to "Mess with Texas"?
Bushie baby has uttered the "Don't Mess with Texas" thing a few times.

I've always wondered what would happen if someone DID "mess with Texas"

Don't Mess With Texas being the slogan of our state's anti-littering campaign.

They catch you throwing trash on the side of the highway they can put you under the jail.

12. How about this t-shirt slogan:
F*ck me...my district stretches from Austin to Houston and my vote doesn't count!

or for my friends in South Austin:

F*ck me...my district stretches from Austin to the border of Mexico and my vote doesn't count!

or

F*ck me...I have to deal with Tom Delay

22. Damn it! I'm out of the loop. :(
What Austin BBV thing tonight? I didn't know there was a thing. :(

And Austin DUers do meetups?? When the hell is that? I would love to be a part of it.

And about the party this Sunday...when DUers get together, do we just call each other by our DU name or do we have to work at memorizing both the DU name and the actual name of each other? (I'm BAD at names) It's easy for me since I'm Gloria either way, and it's probably the same with you Velma, but what do I call GOPisEvil?

I would post these questions on the Austin SuperBowl party thread, but there's already over 100 posts so I was afraid it wouldn't get noticed.

I'm just afraid I won't be able to remember what real name goes with which DU name. I'm seriously really bad at things like that. Now if everyone wore name tags....

This is bad enough sober, but if I have a few beers Sunday, all hope is lost for me remembering anyone's name. At that point, I just call everyone "sweetie".

don't sweat it. I'm bad with names myself. But it really does get easy to sort people out after a while. The Austin DUers I've met so far are a pretty eclectic and memorable bunch of people.
