Well, actually, they did it for the shelter.

One of the companies that we do business with sells their odd-lot stuff to other people for them to sell off. Usually it's at auction. We were offered the chance to purchase some of it at their price and sell it, with the proceeds going to the shelter.

Today in my E-mail I got a message from FedEx saying that they had picked up this package and it was on the way to us. We spent about $50 and the package they sent us weighs 31 pounds. We are always satisfied with their stuff so we can't wait to see what we've got!

2. Believe me...

I've already sent them a thank you message and praised their efforts. They've always done right by us. I hesitated asking if they would be willing to do it but then figured that nothing ventured, nothing gained. The worst they could do was say no. (Well, actually, the worst they could do was say fuck off...) Turns out they donate to THEIR local shelter every month and they were happy to hear that we were helping Northwoods and said that, yes, they would be delighted to help!
