Today In Twisted History (3/4 Bush*-related!)
JANUARY 29

How impious is the title of sacred majesty applied to a worm, who in the midst of his splendor is crumbling into dust!

-- American patriot Thomas Paine, denouncing monarchy and applauding democracy, born today in 1737

1905: Future 'Trunk Murderess' Winnie Ruth Judd, who will chop two female friends into pieces & transport parts (in a trunk) by train, is born in Oxford, Indiana.

1991: Déjà vu all over again: In his State of the Union address, President George Bush (W's daddy) assures Americans that military victory over Iraq & end to U.S. recession are near.

2000: Asks George W. Bush: 'Will the highways on the Internet become more few?'

{Whaddya mean, you don't count 3 out of 4 items as Bush*-related? Didn't you read the Tom Paine quote? :) )
