Poll question: Do you watch TV news?
I do not watch TV news programs. Ever since Donahue was fired I've avoided the Cable news networks like the plague. In fact I'd rather pull my toenails out of my feet with a pair of pliers and use salt to stop the bleeding. Then to watch those whore ass, talking head, dipshit pundits try to "inform the public."

1. Watch it, sure... believe it... well... that's another story.
It's just a matter of sifting the news from the entertainment and other BS.

4. I get all the news I need...
from DU, Buzzflash & the NY Times. Cable news is fantasy land... a deeply paranoic fantasy with disaster reruns every half-hour. I NEVER watch any tv news... Selection 2000 cured me once & for all. Maybe when the Bush cartel is GONE I will try watching again.

3. There's still a few decent spots on TV news...
The network news still manages to deliver the main stories of the day. The McNeil-Lehrer Hour does a decent job, as does the BBC. For those of you in Canada, the CBC also does a decent job.

All you have to do is get your head out of the 24hr cable networks, and it's about as good or bad as it's been for years.

7. No, not if I can help it.
it's biased, hypocritical, superficial and overall a POC. I'd rather search through NY Times, LA Times and Washington Post websites instead of looking at TV.

8. No I don't

And that's the way is.

9. Network, but no cable news....
occasionally nightline (if I can stay up that late). Otherwise my news comes from NPR, lots of internet newspapers (NYT, WP, LATimes, The Guardian and others on occasion). I glance at my own Denver Post at least on weekends. The rest comes form internet surfing AP, Reuters and of course, DU!

11. Just The Daily Show with Jon Stewart
I read stuff online here and at Bushwatch.net.
The only thing I watch that comes close to news is The Daily Show.

13. Local NBC affiliate's afternoon news, sometimes.
Not the NBC Nightly News, if I can avoid it.

I get most of my news from the internet.

15. Nope. I stopped watching in 2000.
I cannot stand TV news, and after cable news networks' behavior in the 2000 election, I just stopped watching. I don't watch network or local news because of their incessant fear mongering.

I do watch C-SPAN every now and then, and when I had extended cable, I would watch the Daily Show occasionally.

17. I stopped watching it in Oct. of 2002
when the media was so out of control regarding the sniper situaion on the east coast. I was truly sickened by the coverage. Tonight, while watching "Friends", the local news guys for the teaser kept saying, "Shocking new news regarding the Michael Jackson case." I want to scream "FUCK YOU - YOU IDIOTS!" "Why don't you talk about our boys and girls who are getting killed in Iraq, why don't you talk about Valerie Plame being exposed, why don't you talk about * planning an invasion of Iraq in Feb. 2001, why don't you talk about Enron?" I could go on and on. The media are a disgrace. (you'll have to excuse me, I'm in a bad mood. I feel sad that I've lost my country).
