1. I'm having soup and rice right now, but when sweetie gets home in a few hours...
...I'll be frying up some white tomatos in jabenero butter
and topping them with cornmeal-crusted fresh goat cheese.

2. Wow, Dick
that sounds fabulous, and different. I have never heard of that particular combo. I made hamburger quiche. I think I'm taking it over to my friend's house. Probable Domino game in the offing.

6. I've done the goat cheese/fried tomato combo before...
...but tonight's the first time I'll be making it
with my new favorite toy, the jabanero butter.

So, wish me luck!

Mr 'pede has been seeing their ads for all-you-can eat somthing or other and wants some seafood. RL is close by and I'm all tasered...er... tuckered out and don't want to take all night for dinner. Think I'll have a margarita or two.

14. I bought that T-shirt for DH!
(Ironically, because when I ask him what he wants for dinner, he often says "soylent green".) He wears it proudly and gets a lot of great responses when folks on the street see it!

12. I guess it's a bit too late for me to catch a flight out there
and partake of some lamby goodness, eh?

Tomorrow is payday, I think I'll grab a rack.

10. Semi-homemade chicken noodle soup with a loaf of roasted-garlic bread.
Edited on Tue Sep-18-07 08:55 PM by Rabrrrrrr
I'm really sick, so I didn't make my own noodles, I bought some amish ones.

And I didn't make my own stock, I used a fantastic broth mix and a garlic-roasted rotisserie chicken from the supermarket. I cut up an onion, some carrots, and celery and made the base, then dumped in the stock and pulled all the chicken off the bones and dumped that in, and added the noodles.

And just because I can, some of the bread I slathered with peanut butter, some with just plain butter.

It's quite good! Not as good as totally homemade, but I am in no mood for fucking around today.
