I have the posthumusly released Joe Strummer album

I don't know how many of you guys have heard it, but if you're a fan of the Clash or rock music or music at all, give it a listen. It's called "Streetcore."

It's so fucking Joe Strummer it's amazing. Listening to it, it's like he's sitting next to you, saying something like "Check out this song I wrote," and then kicking out the jams.

RIP Joe Strummer -- you are the king of rock and punk music.

1. I will never forget...

...seeing/hearing THE CLASH at the Old Fillmore in SF. Bill Graham did a show across the Bay in Berkeley at the Greek Theater that cost like 13 bucks or something. Same week posters began appearing on telephone poles, etc around the Bay Area advertising 'The only English band that matters' with a blanked out photo of the Clash on it. Graham had an exclusivity clause in the contract. Price of admission was like 3 bucks. THEY KICKED ASS!!!

JS and the Mescaleros albums? Not to take anything away from "Streetcore", but I think that "Rock Art and the X-Ray Style" and "Global-A-Go-Go" were even stronger. Check 'em out.

I adore The Clash. In my high school yearbook, my ten-year prediction was "Still Rockin' the Casbah"!
