A good cleanser for oily skin?
I guess I can put it down mostly to intense stress but my skin has been breaking out pretty badly lately. Can anyone recommend a good cleanser? I'm having problems mostly with my face and my back. It's driving me crazy!

1. The best thing for me is plain ol oatmeal soaps
Aveda makes a good one. My problem is my skin's oily but also sensitive so I can't use most cleansers...Aveda's oatmeal soap works wonders, though. It's a good exfoliant too.

2. My derm recommends Cetaphil® Daily Facial Cleanser. It's gentle but takes off the oil.
It really works and it won't break the bank.

Really...give it a try. I swear you will LOVE it. A very simple and "clean" feeling cleanser that will leave your face soft and oil-free but not stripped of moisture.

The great thing about having oily skin is..you wrinkle MUCH less. So even though you have to put up with some shine when younger....as you age...your skin will look fantastic.

Works for me.

4. I'll be sure to check it out
I don't have a lot of money right now so that sounds like a good option.

6. I always liked Clinique's facial soap
I prefer liquid, some people prefer the bar form.

But, since my skin is less oily now, I've started using Burts Bees Garden Tomato soap, and it's fucking amazing.
For real.
If you want something that isn't harsh at all (so it wont irritate your skin) but actually really helps, this is the stuff.

7. I saw a recommendation for Burt's Bees
Rosewater and Glycerin toner but I couldn't find it at the drug store. I did see the tomato toner, though.

8. plain ole glycerin soap is good too
I use that in the off days between the various facial treatments I use: proactiv, dermabrasion kits, etc.

It's really cheap and very gentle on the skin.

10. It's even cheaper if you
go to the craft store and buy a big block of plain glycerin soap and add your own colors and fragrances. You melt it down in the microwave and pour it in molds. Good clean fun. B-)
