Kia Sedona? I am still going round and round on this subject...
seems like they have a good product. Nice warranty, safety features, but I would have to buy the floor mats as an extra..

Help!!!

4. Kia Optimas are supposed to be nice sedans
Car & Driver said that they're better put together and use higher quality materials than the updated Camry does.

5. previously I had read that their safety rating wasn't so good,
but I hear that that has changed.

Othewise, I think the engine and other features are pretty good.

Odyssey and Previa have the best van ratings, but they cost the earth.

7. I've had no problems with mine.
The only "problems" I've had were either my doing (my method of braking isn't the best) or through the idiocy of others (people with BB guns, stupid people in Wilmington, DE who don't pay attention when they're driving). Everything else has been great.

8. Appears to be an good value
Consumer Reports ranks it below the Honda Odyssey and the Toyota Sienna, but they cost a thousand or two more. But they don't offer a Base model (see below).

Edmunds.com thinks highly of it http://www.edmunds.com/kia/sedona/2007/review.html

But be aware:

The 2007 Kia Sedona minivan comes in two sizes -- a short-wheelbase (SWB) model with a 114-inch wheelbase and a long-wheelbase (LWB) model with a 119-inch wheelbase. Both vans seat seven, but only the LWB van has a fold-flat third-row seat. The SWB model comes in a base trim level only, while the LWB Sedona comes in LX and EX trim levels.

Base (MSRP $20,495): You still get a third row, but its 50/50 halves must be physically removed from the vehicle when more cargo space is needed.

LX (MSRP $23,595): equipped basically the same but swaps in a 60/40-split fold-flat third-row seat (and has 20% more cargo space)

EX (MSRP $26,195): adds 17-inch alloy wheels, a roof rack with crossbars, foglights, power front seats, an upgraded MP3-capable CD player, power rear-quarter windows and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob

If you're thinking of the LX or EX, definitely use the Compare Vehicles option on edmunds.com to look at the Honda and Toyota too.

10. I am thinking base model
I dont need a DVD/ MP3 player. I can move the seats myself I do with our work vans. Just a heater/cooler and CD player. I dont need seat warmers. I have always thought of a vehicle as a tool. However, my wife likes bell and whistles. Any hoo

9. I'm skeptical about Kia
I have the loan on my current car from Capital One. They do this thing called a "blank check" where they send you a check to use as payment for the car, then you make payments to them. The loan didn't come with many stipulations, but there were a few: limits on the price of the car, mileage, had to be bought from a franchised dealer (not Joe's Used Cars). And it could be for any make or model of car...except any Kia.

I don't know the reason for this, but I figure there is one.
