My Dad is charging a former employee for espionage.

He sold his business - to retire. The company that bought it only wanted three of the current employees. So, my Dad went out of his way to make sure the other ones had new jobs that paid the same in the industry, and was successful. In fact, everyone got jobs that pay more... except this one guy. The company that purchased my Dad's actually OFFERED this guy his job at the same pay. But he didn't want that, so my Dad found three other people interested in hiring him.
He turned down all the jobs and got one with another company. That made Dad happy cause he never really liked the guy and wasn't sure about recommending him, but felt responsible for him.
THEN, a week later, after he's left, another employee tells my Dad the guy phoned him and offered him $2,500 if he could get him a copy of the customer list.
My dad just basically sold that last for a few hundred thousand dollars.
So, after that slap in the face my Dad said, "fuck it." ANd the little shit is being charged criminally. Ha!
