I am watching "City Confidential" on A&E.

City Confidential is one of my favorite programs, and I was particularly interested in this episode, because the crime being profiled took place in Boise.

However, I may have to stop watching, because the narrator insists on calling the city of Boise (with an "s"!), "Boize."

It's not Boize.

It's Boise.

i think i remember that episode and his pronunciation of *Boise* was irritating. i favor Winfield over the new guy - too bad Winfield passed away.

2. They never research the local color, just seem to phone it in

When they did a story set in Green Bay they kept mispronouncing our local delicacy, the bratwurst. They pronounced it as if it were an ill mannered child - "brat" instead of "brot." I pretty much stopped watching when Paul Winfield died.

5. that show is kind of addicting, it pulls you in

like when your flipping channels, and you hear Paul Winfield say something in a really sarcastic manner and then you wonder what he's talking about, etc.....

6. They Did a Crappy Job With My Hometown

KCMO is the home of Bob Berdella, the Painted Lady shooting and numerous other shocking crimes (including the murder of Colonel Swope, namesake of Swope Park) and what did they do? A murder that even locals barely noticed and didn't remember! And it's in MissourEE, not MissourAH or (shudder) Kansas.

8. Yes. The S makes the "ess" sound, not the "z" sound.
