I f*&#*ing hate winter.
We have over a foot of snow and it is -8 with a wind chill of -22.
I had shovel the 2 feet of solid ice the snow plows put in front of our driveway before I could leave for work. I get to work, slip on the ice in the parking lot, twist my ankle, skin both knees, scrap up my left hand, and jammed the little finger of my right hand.
I really hate winter.

2. Maybe you should move South.
Come to North Georgia. We have great winters. Very little snow and now and then an ice storm.

4. I f%?*#&ing love winter
I can't stand the stinking summer heat and humidity, that's when the termites come out to destroy your home. You can always pile on more clothes in the winter, but can only take off so much in the summer.

I love the cold, I love the change of seasons. If you hate it so much move to Florida. Why live somewhere that you hate half the year?

8. Actually, I usually like winter ok. This morning was/is just really bad.
Fall is my favorite time of the year. I will put up with winter for a chance to watch the leave turn and for those cool crisp evenings.

6. My van died - block heater cord snapped
Hasn't had any heat to the engine for two days so it wouldn't crank even when boosted. It's -35 windchill so I've got a long night ahead of me tonight putting a new cord on it.

'87 Dodge Caravan V6, Mobil 1, 0-30 Weight, Real (not wind chill) of minus 29 F and it STARTED easily with a not new battery.
Can't say enough good about the stuff.

7. Poor fellow. I tried to get gasoline last night and the little door
is frozen shut. Sh*t. I hope you are O.K. Maybe where you are, there will be few people at work so you can get stuff done.

Bandaids to you. I'd suggest ice, but you would not think that's funny.

11. I hate winter, too. I hate Nebraska winters, to be more accurate.
Sorry to hear of your mishaps this morning. Hopefully, your day will improve!

I just shoveled for the third time. My wife had to work yesterday, so I had to shovel so she could get out, shovel so she could get back in last night, and shovel again this morning so she could go to work again!

15 inches of snow. Ack! And, the 30mph winds kept drifting in our driveway.

Ugh, I hate Midwestern winters. One of these years I'll actually follow through on my threat to move somewhere warm.

21. Thanks. You, too.
The news said this is the most snow we've had in one storm in more than 5 years. Reminds me way too much of the winters we often had when I was a kid growing up in South Dakota and Minnesota.

20. I grew up in Holland Patent
which is about 12 miles north of Utica. I've never lived anyplace that had that much snow. When we lived in Boulder, Colorado, there wasn't enough snow there in the winter in my opinion to be bothered buying my boys a sled. I love winter.

True story: In January of 1969 I was in Utica for two weeks training for Mohawk Airlines. In my class were a woman who'd lived all her life in Binghamton, one who'd lived her whole life in Syracuse, another ditto in Rochester, and two from Long Island. All of the rest of them were astonished at the amount of snow they were seeing, and I could assure them it was a typical, average amount of snow for that specific part of the state.

I've lived in various parts of the country, and I prefer a place with four distinct seasons and hate hot humid summers or hot dry summers as in Arizona.

My goal in life is to spend at least one full year in a place where air conditioning is absolutely not needed in the summer.

19. I know that's right. I HATE IT.
But I love the Northeast. What to do what to do.

I keep waiting for the snow to hit so I can spend hours of my life moving it out of the way in the freezing cold. By the time I'm done it will be dark. Yet ANOTHER perk of wintertime.

I really hate winter. Sorry you're all roughed up today.

22. days are getting longer
go look at some pictures of flowers... and hang in there. I am sick of it too, but here in PA we have much less to complain about... it is actually in the 20s today( after 2 weeks of 5-10). But then there is the "wintry mix."

23. I hate winter too, and I live in Texas
I absolutely have no tolerance for cold weather. I crave sun. Being a person of color, I have good pigment to help protect me from the sun, but I have no natural anti-freeze in my body. I get cold at 65 degrees. If I have to move, I'm moving further south like Latin America. Costa Rica is looking mighty tempting right now.

It is freezing here in Austin this week at night. No snow because we hardly get any rain, but friggin uncomfortable. I hate being trapped inside. I would die literally, in the north of being cold and miserable. Winter would kill me.

I feel for all you Northies who have to put up with that weather. Layer your clothes, stay by the home fires and watch things that raise your internal temperature. Your could also snuggle with someone.

Sonia
