Any metal heads here?
Here are some videos from a few of the bands that I'm getting into right now

Trivium "Entrance of the Conflagration" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oeZGGBLpbsM

All That Remains "The Weak Willed" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0biaMxL82I4 Live video. This was the best I could find on YouTube. Video could be much better, but I think it might their first attempt at a professional video. Couldn't find one of those slick studio version videos. They sound like a great live band.

Gojira "Flying Whales" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cjl8GFIcPrE This is a home made video made by a fan. WARNING: The video is graphic in places. Gojira also lacks a professional video. At least I couldn't find it on YouTube. There are some live versions of the song on there filmed by fans, but the audio sucks on them.

1. I've been a Metalhead forever.
But there are very few newer bands that I like. I'll check these out and let you know what I think.

2. I'm going to guess that you might like the Trivium
They've got a little bit of an old school Metallica flavor to them.

3. Trivium performed at my high school battle of the bands.
Only member I knew personally left the band before they became famous though. :)

4. Cool! Do you remember what they played?
I'm going to guess that they covered either Metallica or Megadeth.

5. I don't even remember.
If I can find the program I'll letcha know though. :)
I do recall hearing at least one Metallica song that night though, might have been them. Another band I had a few friends in did a Nirvana cover.
Then some other punk band did a hardcore punk cover of a Backstreet Boys song, which was actually pretty funny.

Oh yeah! I've been a metal head since I was a little kid in suburban texas in the 80's (just imagine how much fun THAT was).

I've been getting into metalcore, moshcore, and a bunch of odd scandanavian pagen metal lately. My current new favorite is Born From Pain.

8. not a metalhead
and I don't know if this band "counts" among metalheads or not (Ok I'm an old fuddyduddy anymore - at least my teenager thinks so - 'cept he does NOT use the word "fuddyduddy" )

ANYWAY -

Great guitar.

One of the guys in the band used to be our neighbor. Nice guy.

9. That rocks!
Reminds me a lot of some good ol' Iron Maiden from the 80s. I don't know if many younger people would recognize that as metal unless they've listened to the older stuff, but us folks who've listened to metal since the 80s and longer would surely recognize that as some good old school style metal.

10. I'm not much of a metalhead, but my friend's boyfriend has a pretty cool metal band...

Mainly though, my only metal consumption is Metalocalypse (funniest cartoon ever) and various post-metal (Isis, Pelican, a local band called Swords), and metalcore (Protest The Hero, Converge, whathaveyou).

13. I don't think so. I think the furthest they've travelled is other parts of eastern Canada.

12. I have a life long love of metal.
Although, I will readily admit that right now metal is in a serious valley of talent.
