NASCAR?

I've never been much of a fan but channel flipping just now (trying to find a football game) and came across the start of a Nextel Cup race at the 1/2 mile oval at Bristol on ESPN right now.

I'm more of a fan of the road courses like Watkins Glen where drivers have to turn right as well as left:

But this short track oval is insane. Seating all around the half mile oval for 160,000. It looks like the Rose Bowl on steroids.

Quite the spectacle with cars spread out all around the track.

but did you look at the Watkins Glen course? They ran a Nascar race there a couple of weeks ago.

No word on whether the drivers were confused.
