:wow:

FINAL SCORE: Texas 30, Baltimore 3.

I am NOT making this up. http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/scoreboard/20070822.html

And now they get to play the second game of the doubleheader.

And somebody's already edited Wikipedia to include it as a record for one game: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Run_(baseball)#Team :D

1. Hmm.
I thought the Ravens defense was a lot better than that.

8. Does Baltimore have any pitchers left?
Edited on Wed Aug-22-07 08:17 PM by BrotherBuzz
I guess the little league 'ten run rule' doesn't apply to MLB.

10. They used only four
Cabrera started, went five innings and gave up six runs, all earned.

Then it got bad. :D

• Burres — 2/3 of an inning, eight runs, all earned. ERA jumps from 4.45 to 5.24.

• Bell — 1 1/3 innings, seven runs, all earned. ERA jumps from 6.14 to 7.93.

• Shuey — two innings, nine runs, all earned. ERA jumps from 6.75 to 9.62. But he struck out five. :D

11. And because it was the first game of a doubleheader,

nobody got to leave. :scared: They just had to sit there and watch that.

This may be the defining moment in a decade-plus of O's suckitude. Among the last few games of consequence in which they played, as you may recall, was one involving young fan Jeffery Maier. Mr. Maier is now a fully-fledged adult, having been the all-time hits leader at Wesleyan.

12. I'd forgotten about that kid
And here's another line for Giuliani's political resume:

Meanwhile, in New York, Maier became a minor celebrity. The New York Daily News allowed him to sit behind the Yankee dugout later in the postseason. The boy appeared on national talk shows, including The Late Show with David Letterman, and was even awarded the key to New York City by mayor Rudy Giuliani.
