but I wonder sometimes about my best friend and I.

We don't talk much anymore. We were really good friends when we were younger. Then he went one way and I went another. Then he came back and took the profits he made there and became very successful in another business.

Other friends I reconnected with last fall well, our connection has already seemed to peter out.
