14. Stoner catch phrase.

Started by a group of students at Marin High called the Waldos. Back in the seventies. When the kids would get high they would do it at 4:20. So whenever these kids wanted to get high they used 4:20 as code.

As these kids got out of school, they took it on the road with a certain rock band (the Grateful Dead)and it became the code for smoking pot on the GD scene. Over the years it has become widely accepted as the code word throughout stoner circles. Even my 80 year old pot smoking father uses it..
