This "My Music: The 70s Experience" special on PBS is just awful.

Don't get me wrong. The remaining members of the bands featured sound great. The production, on the other hand, is HORRIBLE. While they try to cover it up, it's obvious that most of the performances are taking place in front of a crowd that's only 5-7 rows deep with large amounts of empty seats behind them. Yet, when the songs are over, they show huge crowds, quite possible in a different venue entirely. On top of that, they keep putting in really fake crowd reactions which are a) mixed way too loudly, and b) placed at really inappropriate spots in the songs, as if the audio editor wasn't even listening.

And did you know that the original guitarist from KC & The Sunshine Band was killed in a construction accident in 2001?

Not a lot of guitar in that music, from what I remember....

Yeah, I saw a little bit of that show. Liked some of it, hated the rest (mostly the disco stuff :puke: ) But you're right. The editing was horrible. And "Greg Brady" as the host only added to the cheese factor.
