Moronic computer question

Can a keyboard actually last more than 5 years? I got mine with my defunct DELL in 2000. It has a family of raisin bran flakes living underneath the keys but it still works. Is it possessed by republican devils?

10. 15 years on one. Can't use the left shift or alt keys

but as there are spares on the right hand side it's ok.
I fear the mold in that thing though, and the plastic has aged to a weird orange color. Of course the color could be the result of my heavy smoking in my youth. :D

if you don't get liquids in them, keyboards are pretty sturdy.

Just air-blow the dust-cattle out of 'em once in awhile.

I've had less success with keyboard laptops, though. The keys seem to fall off after awhile.

You may need to get a USB adapter for newer boxes but keep the old ones until they break.
