I'm in a hell of a lot of pain and the meds aren't keeping it under control tonight.

The pain has wrapped around into my gut and I'm sick as a dog. The combination of heavy meds and pain are making me really, really stupid. I really would like to think about anything else but how I feel.

I've taken another round of meds, and I'm hoping they kick in and dull things. I hope they're enough. If not, then there's always the ER, though I hate having to go there.

Happy thoughts though. Happy thoughts. Please give me something to think about.

I don't think I'll say what med I take. I guess it's not a good idea to announce controlled substances online. But anyway, I take it every day, and it usually works. I have taken half again more today than I usually take.

I don't want to take any more without a doctor's approval, so that's why I'll probably go to the ER if this gets any worse.

it's damned hard when you are hurting, and if it gets too bad go to the ER, but if you can, take yourself on a little mental journey to your imagination's connection with your life and things you enjoy..

29. I'm sorry for your pain, it's a real bitch I know

My husband has had a couple of shoulder operations (the worse) and had a heart valve replaced (which wasn't as bad as the shoulder operations) and if he is in real pain (like wake you out of a sound sleep pain), he uses heat pads ( like a security blanket, I tease him), his "sleep aids" (I don't want to name the med either) and finally, I coach him in some deep breathing, and that is a relaxer. Breath in for a count of 4, hold for a count of 7, release through your mouth for a count of 8 with a real whoosh. It really helps him a lot.

I'm not smart enough to figure out how to add pics to my posts to be able to distract you, but I hope you are better soon.
