I took my girlfriend to the hospital today for a lung biopsy.
It all started with what they originally diagnosed as an inhaled peanut shell- they believed it had become encapsulated inside her lung and it was starting to affect her health.

They decided to extract it. When they got in, they discovered not a peanut shell but a cancerous mass. They had to remove a third of her lung.

She just finished her chemo and went back for an analysis when they saw what they thought may be another mass. So today was the day for x-rays and cat scans. It was a long day, and it was tiring for both of us. The x-rays were okay, and we'll get the results of the cat scan and the needle biopsy later on in the week.

One good result came of this- it FINALLY got her to quit smoking after 30 years.

A silver lining in every cloud, eh?

4. She insists she won't go through chemo again.
She simply doesn't want to lose her hair again. This I know because she told me so.

Wimmen.
