Looking for some more good workout music
Edited on Sat Jan-24-04 11:21 PM by TXlib
I'm looking for some good music with 130-150 bpm.

Lately, I've been listening to Delerium's Oddysey, which is a compilation of their tunes, remixed to a dance beat (one of my favorites is Silence, closely followed by Underwater.)

I also like DreamGate's Now We Are Free, based on the theme from Gladiator.

Also the dance extended version of Robert Miles' Children.

I like trance and electronica, as well as celtic and afro-celtic.

Any suggestions for new music? Especially in the celtic and afro-celtic, 130-150 bpm category?

1. I have a bunch
I use a variety of Stevie Wonder songs and other hot songs. I used to workout to John Lennon, over and over. But I need more motivation now.

If it's late at night and I'm relaxing with a glass of wine, I listen to old rock. But a good workout needs a heavy beat.

2. Yes, I need a pounding beat too.
That's what I like about Dreamgate's Now We Are Free.

Plus I find it very motivational... it blends in samples from the movie like "Strength and Honor", and "On my signal, unleash Hell!"

When I am pooped, I find that that song picks me up!

3. Pointer Sisters "Twist My Arm"
This is part of my mix of R&B, classical, and soundtrack hits for my workout tape.

4. Are you doing weights or
mostly arobic exercises? I do both, sometimes going from the weights to the treadmill between sets. I workout at home.

Looking for something to help me maintain an even cadence between 65-75 rpm on the elliptical machine.

7. Yeah I like the elliptical

trainers, I have a precor and switch back and forth to the treadmill for variety. The elliptical is easier on my knees. As much as I like variety, I'll play the same music over and over to keep the pace. It doesn't bug me that much.
