I bought a new swimsuit. Loved the color, loved the little dangly-thing on the top.

I wore it all day yesterday at the lake, and decided I'd wear the top today, since it's hot.

I have a RASH from the crappy metal on the dangly-thing! It's all bumpy and gross. I put hydrocortisone on the rash, and painted over the metal with clear nail polish.

I can't wear cheap metal. My skin is an elitist snob.

Edited to add that on her web page she put:

"Let me make this perfectly clear, AS SOON AS I REALIZED THERE WAS A PROBLEM I STOPPED WEARING THE SHOES.

In total I wore the shoes maybe 10 to 12 times."

Hydrocortisone OTC is not strong enough to get rid of a rash. You need a script. the OTC product actually can CAUSE a rash because it is an irritant.

check your yellow pages for jewelry supply or beading. You should be able to get a sterling silver ring in that size (or close to it), and attach your own dangling stones, or re-fit the current stones to a new setting.

or heck, get it electroplated in silver.
