Woman Awarded $20,000 After Her Name Was Plastered On Men's Room Wall
<snip>

SYDNEY, July 30 An Australian woman who was the target of lewd graffiti posted inside the men's room at her workplace has been awarded $20,000 damages for the affront.

While an employee of RailCorp, Kimberley Hunt learned that someone had written lewd comments about her in the company's men's room and now those inappropriate comments have earned her a $20,000 judgment from the Administrative Decisions Tribunal, the Sydney Morning Herald reported in Tuesday's edition.

Tribunal members ruled that not only was the graffiti an instance of sexual harassment in the workplace, but so was a pornographic magazine anonymously slipped into Hunt's office.

The graffiti first originated in 2004, prompting Hunt to make a series of complaints while with the company.

The tribunal's ruling came months after four RailCorp managers lost their jobs amid complaints of similar on-the-job behavior by a secretary.

Among the secretary's 116 complaints were allegations of pornography use in the workplace and sexual harassment, the newspaper said.

1. Well, really, I mean if your name is K. Hunt...
...you're really sort of asking for trouble, aren't you. Like the Mike Hunt I worked with years ago. He never heard the end of it.

2. More than just the men's room wall:
According to CityRail sources, Ms Hunt endured multiple public humiliations, including her locker being defaced with despicable terms like "slut" and "whore".

Only last month Premier Morris Iemma gave the rail boss one last chance to get Sydney's train service back on track after it was revealed CityRail was the worst operator in the world, according to an independent study.

Ms Hunt has a separate claim for sexual discrimination, sexual harassment and victimisation that will be ruled on by the NSW Anti Discrimination Board next week.
