Anyone remember News Radio?
I loathe TV comedy- except for certain classics originating in the distant past (Dick Van Dyke comes to mind), all modern comedy sucks. It's one of the reasons I turned my TV off- I've never gone for the sitcom canned laugh. Cheap and worthless.

Then there's News Radio. Brilliant. Hysterically funny. On an ethereal plane all its own. In the same class as, say, Boston Legal. Priceless gems of humor scattered on the trodden path of mediocrity.

I have no idea why I even thought of it just now- however, I'm glad I did.

2. Great show... but AVOID THE 5TH SEASON
That's when Jon Lovitz "replaced" Phil Hartman, but I think they must have lost most of their best writers or something. I have the Season 5 DVD, and the episodes are nearly unwatchable...

Seasons 1-4 are amazing, almost without exception.

3. I couldn't watch it after Hartman died.
It was just to sad for me.

4. Good show
Except for Andy Dick. I can't understand why he's ever had a job doing anything but washing cars.

I had a bit of a crush on Maura Tierney. :)

5. Newsradio is actually in my top 3 all-time favorite television comedies.
Right there with Arrested Development and Curb Your Enthusiasm.

I like other sitcoms, but I rate those 3 above anything else.

One of the deepest ensemble casts in TV history.
