Cell phones

Okay, with more than 100000 of you out there, surely there are some opinions on technology, maybe even some intelligent opinions from people who actually know stuff (no offense, really).

I'm looking for recommendations for unlocked GSM cell phones. Price is always an object. I don't want to pay iPhone prices, but nor am I looking for a basic phone. So a few hundred dollars is okay, provided the quality is rock solid. I've had Nokia in the past, generally always happy with them, mixed experience with motorola. But there are just too damn many models out there.

Don't need it to include an mp3 player. Don't care about camera, though most come with them. Don't care all that much about bluetooth since I'm not all that organized to use Bluetooth. Just rock solid cell phone features, good phone book, super sound quality, and good antenna.
