Anyone tried the new Doritos X13D?
They want people to go to their website and suggest a name for the new supersecret flavor.

May I suggest: Cheesy Sphincter? Vinegar Vomit?

:puke:

Things are AWFUL.

1. cheesy sphincter?

I don't like normal doritos though, so that is probably an indicator I wouldn't like the new 'doritos on steriods' they are touting.

2. I kid you not...
we were on the way from the grocery store, and my kid and his friend decided that they wanted to open them on the ride home and have a taste.

The stench triggered my gag reflex...I had to roll the windows down and force them to close the bag.

They're up in MMjr's room right now, eating the blasted things. They are NOT allowed to eat them down here.

:queasy:

:hi:

3. Almost. Slightly funny story.
My friend was taken aback by the "cool" packaging and crap surrounding the mysterious .. lack of a name for the product. So he picked it up, and I commented "looks like their marketing worked on you.." and snickered. The put them back and I haven't seen 'em since! :P

4. I had not heard of them until I saw them on the shelf today.
The only information I have about them is on the bag. I'm more of a Zapps Potato Chips kinda gal, but the kids went crazy for them.

But really, you should give these things a smell. Syrup of Ipecac has nothing on the stench of these things.

:hi:

6. That's what the cashier at the grocery store said.
She said that her friend said that they tasted like cheeseburger. Ours had a strong vinegary smell to them...kind of like Chex Mix Doritos or something.

Yuck. :(

12. I've seen them all over
but never tried any. I thought they might be some super-spicy chip with habaneros or something. But now I'm curious as to what the fuss is about. Or vomit for that matter.
Might have to find a small bag just to try.

16. If the Doritos have more than a micron of vinegar
Edited on Tue Jul-24-07 10:16 PM by smtpgirl
I will not eat them

Vinegar, BLECHHHH, only good for a micron flavor taste, maybe in steamed crabs or shrimp, but that is it.

:puke: :puke: :puke: :puke:

I don't even like Doritos, all of the flavors smell like sweaty feet.

The Doritos X13D flavor is cheeseburger, a far cry from vinegar, but I won't eat them.

18. They could do a celebrity tie-in and call it "Madden Cheese".
Doritos would then have to get John Madden to sign a nondisclosure statement preventing him from revealing where Madden Cheese comes from.

19. Yeah, I took one for the team on that one.
Puke. They taste like puke.

And I'm not using puke in the wider sense that they taste badly. I mean it literally. They taste like a bunch of food partially digested and then pumped back up and out the mouth.

I'd be upset, but I'm pretty sure we're all being punk'd by Frito Lay. And if anyone deserves to be the victim of a practical joke like this, it is we consumers who actually eat this shit.

So kudos, Mr. Dorito-man. You got us good.

20. X13D sounds like a knock-off of WD-40.
I haven't even heard of them. Now I feel like I need to experience this fresh Hell.

BTW, Zapp's = Best. Chip. Ever.
